I'm greatly honored to have this oppotunity to stand here and give a speach on the following two pieces of news.
The first one is about sports.David Beckham will reject the chance to make one final appearance for England, a person familiar with the former captain's plans said on Thursday. Coach Fabio Capello announced on Wednesday 35-year-old Beckham was too old to continue playing competitively for England, but offered him an opportunity to say farewell to fans in an exhibition match.
And the next is an international news: Baghdad suicide bomb hits army recruits, kills 61.
A suicide bomber sat for hours Tuesday among hundreds of army recruits before detonating nail-packed explosives strapped to his body, killing 61 people and casting new doubt on the ability of Iraqi forces as US troops head home.
Bodies of bloodied young men, some still clutching job applications in their hands, were scattered on the ground outside the military headquarters in central Baghdad. Some of the estimated 1,000 men who had gathered there before dawn for a good spot in line were so desperate for work they returned hours after being treated at hospitals for injuries in the attack.

Year 2008 is a very important year to China. We looked forward the year 2008 for a long time and finally, it comes.
But things go contrary to our wishes,We are facing new challenges and opportunities in 2008.The following list is the top 10 issues that appear in China.
1. The rise of price.Our economy has kept a double-digit两位数 rise,it's a very exciting thing for us. As prices continued to rise,
people finally realize that the money has become more and more depreciatory.贬值的
2. Stock market diving股市跳水.2007 is great year of the Chinese stockholders股民, The stock rises 6,123 points rapidly but the stock market
has fallen abruptly in the year 2008. It even under the 3300 points recently.
3. The slowdown of the economic growth rate.
4. The Tibet problem. Dalai lama leads the violence in Tibet Autonomous Region and East Turkistan elements' violence in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.such as the "3.14" event.
5. Taiwan issue. Ma Ying-jeou is the new leader of Taiwan, in a manner, it's a good way to ease the relationships between China mainland and Taiwan, but we can not have too much expectation of him.
6. Some foreign countries want to stop the Olympic Games.They claim that the season why they try to stop the Olympic Games hold in China is that the human rights and the Tibet Problem haven't been figured out.
7. "Law of the people's republic of China on employment contracts". This is protection of the employer and emplyee.
8. Environmental problem. The big snow before the Spring Festival of 2008 is warning us the pollution of our environment is a very important problem that we are facing now.
9. The illegal brick kilns and coal mines problem
10.Expensive medical treatment and the living space problem.
Conjuncture is terrible, but the conjuncture can also be an opportunity, I believe, after 2008, our motherland will be even more new, united and powerful in the world.
